God wants a relationship with you

This is an article that may seem to be redundant or not necessary, but please read on…We’ve all seen the John 3:16 “love” posters at sports stadiums or other events, but this article touches on a few related topics. God still loves the world and wants us to spend eternity with Him in heaven. There’s that small qualifier mid-verse, “whoever believes in Him (Jesus)” that seems to separate those going to heaven from those going to hell. What is His plan for us in eternity?

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” He wants us to come to Him – and He promises rest. Who wouldn’t want that? In Ephesians 2, Paul talks about the Father’s great love for us and how we are raised up with Jesus Christ and seated with Him in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:4-6). In the different translations I checked, they use the past tense “raised” and “seated” to signify that believers are already in the heavenly places (in spirit). When I think of that my knees get weak! Also in Ephesians 2, Paul writes that we are God’s workmanship and created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them (the good works) (Ephesians 2:10). Thinking about that verse, why would people say that God did something bad to them? He created us for good works.

Once you get ahold of these great promises from the Father, it is your duty to share them with others, especially believers. As Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, two people working together are better than one, and three people are not easily torn apart. Go find someone who needs to know how much our Father loves us, and share the message with that person. Wash, rinse, and repeat!

God is love. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run (1 Corinthians 13:13 TPT). Jesus is Lord.
